Individual Therapy

Individual therapy allows people to process personal concerns and work toward a resolution that allows them to feel congruent and empowered. In my sessions I often utilize play therapy techniques as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Theraplay, and Family Centered techniques. In our sessions, you will meet with me one-on-one for a 50 minute session in a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential environment.

What is Play Therapy?

Play is the natural language of children. Play therapy helps children to communicate with others, express feelings, modify behavior, develop problem-solving skills, and learn a variety of ways to relate to others. Play is used as a tool that provides psychological distance from their problems and allows expression of thoughts and feelings appropriate to their development. Play therapy can be used to address issues of anxiety, depression, anger, grief and loss, divorce and family dissolution, crisis or trauma, physical and sexual abuse, domestic violence, ADHD, autism, and behavioral issues.
